It has become increasingly difficult for institutions to identify education fraud. This challenge has arisen due to the ease with which diploma mills can be created, and their proficiency in producing seemingly authentic degrees and documentation. This session identifies diploma mills and dicusses how/where they operate as well as their frequency. We will also provide a list of indicators suggesting a need for verification and offer information on steps educational institutions can take to authenticate educational credentials. Specific examples will be shared, and attendees will gain insights they can use immediately.
