Accreditation requires active involvement of administrators and faculty. This poster reports findings about the perceptions of faculty in an institution that is beginning the NCATE accreditation process, and about the change in faculty's perception of this process over the course of one year. Our survey asked faculty what they believed to be strengths, limitations, and barriers to the accreditation process; the relevance of the process to their work; and whether they saw connections between NCATE accreditation and other reviews, including WASC and CTC. The findings provide insight into what is needed to make accreditation meaningful, how faculty attitudes change over time, and what mid-point corrections are needed.
