Community Colleges are under increasing pressure to prepare students for both transfer and workforce development in STEM majors and green careers, and they are making a significant contribution. Three approaches will be presented which outline curriculum modifications, support strategies and career pathways to increase success for under-represented students in STEM majors. These approaches are creating a student workforce with an understanding of the importance of sustainability and environmental justice.
