This presentation illustrates involvement of faculty in implementations of recorded instruction. Touro University Nevada (TUN) will describe how faculty can be active partners in the selection of a course capture system and development of attendant policies. At TUN, the Faculty Senate and other faculty groups were instrumental in the development of policies to address faculty concerns regarding lecture capture and its uses. The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) will report on development and systematic application of an evaluation process that reviews recordings for synchronous distance learning instruction using rubrics and external evaluators. The process provides feedback to faculty, uses reviews for faculty mentoring, and has led to improvement of distance learning.
