This session explores infrastructure and energy conservation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the University of California (UC), Texas Southern University (TSU), and California State University (CSU). Specifically, the session will focus on: 1) the UC's strategy to complement campus conservation efforts with a low-carbon energy infrastructure; 2) TSU's green computing program, which enables TSU to monitor the power consumption on all of its 3,800 computers and to adjust settings globally or based on the specific needs; and 3) environmental, economic, and societal benefits of CSU's eIQ project, which combines state-of-the-art energy grid technology with applied research, technical know-how, and innovation.
