The Strengthening the Collaborative Conference was developed by Counseling and Matriculation at Antelope Valley College to identify tools and brainstorm ideas to strengthen the CTE collaborative between K-16, postsecondary, community and industry sectors and to sustain efforts funded beyond SB70. This poster summarizes the conference findings and shares the DVD that documented the process. It was determined that a focused effort is needed to counsel students as they enter high school and eventually community college and university. Conference participants examined the opportunities for new programs, models of training, and the role of the Advisory Board. The conference resulted in recommendations and strategies that promote effective practice.
