This poster illustrates an extraordinary story. In 2008-09, Cambridge College swiftly changed its path towards receivership and reversed course through transformational leadership, tactical actions and strategic planning. I highlight deterioration and performance improvement indicators, orchestration of an effective listening and research campaign to provide information for strategic planning, recovery team planning strategies and actions, specific tactical action plans, and preliminary results. The College's experience shows how selecting the right key performance indicators, continuously monitoring and deriving meaning from those indicators, and responding appropriately can help an institution avoid systemic decline. The lessons we learned have broad applicability to other institutions.
