Two very different institutions, the Naval Postgraduate School and the University of California at San Francisco, are both experiencing significant stress in their ability to continue to deliver quality services - the first from exponential growth in sponsored activities, the second from severe reductions in state funding. Each institution will describe the challenges created by the stress and discuss how it has changed its approach to service delivery and maintaining or improving the quality of services.
